“Life has no meaning, each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question “What is the meaning of life”, when you are the answer.” Joseph Campbell
Given the choice of deciding where to go in life or what I would actually spend my life doing, I would choose to spend my time deciding what I’m going to end up doing. Because ultimately no matter where you end up, you are going to be doing that activity.
If you enjoy what you are doing, you will enjoy doing it anywhere at anytime. Likewise if you don’t enjoy what you’re doing, you are not going to enjoy doing it, no matter how seemingly successful you may appear.
So seek to find meaning and purpose in the things that you enjoy doing and bring you satisfaction. By all means you have to determine what that satisfaction is whether it’s reaching out to other people, practicing certain skills, whatever it is that’s up to you to determine.
By determining your goals in this way you are able to focus, on what are truly your goals and not someone else’s.
